Major wardrobe envy

Sure I love The Coveteur and Co. – it's always nice to peek into other people's homes and closets. But when I saw the feature about Dyveke Angelo, who's buyer and web store manager at Strom, I went a little bit crazy. My dream bag (Louis Vuitton x Sofia Coppola), Chanel, Iro, a classic Balenciaga biker jacket, ... – nothing but pieces that make my heart race. See it here.

New wardrobe staple: The Caban jacket

I've already posted it on Instagram: my Caban jacket by Mat de Misaine which I bought in a sailing store last month (similar here and here). I got the men's version because I found it more classic – and I really don't regret it. It's so warm and versatile. I also love the navy blue colour. Last Sunday I wore it with a handmade Angora sweater, a cashmere scarf from Scotland, Topshop jeans, my trusted Acne Donna boots and Mulberry bag.

Hermès Médor

As much as I love delicate jewellery, I also have a thing for silver studs. (I wear my 1988 stud earrings every day and I still regret not keeping my studded belt from teenage days). My favourite luxury version of studded jewellery, the Hermès "Collier de chien" bracelet, turns my eyes into little hearts every time I see it. Unfortunately, it's very pricy and there are always long waiting lists for it. ... You can't imagine (or maybe you can?) how happy I was when, one day, I saw the "Médor Twilly studs" online. They are designed to be worn with a Twilly silk scarf, but you can also wear them as a bracelet. The silver ones were sold out in Germany but a friend was so nice to get them for me in London. (Thank you!!!). You can see them worn as a bracelet here

Update thanks to Instagram

I'm sorry it has been quiet in this blog lately, but as I had mentioned I moved to another place, so my time has been taken up by that (and by work). Luckily, there's Instagram! So I can still share some moments from the last couple of days with you: I discovered an amazing interior shop; I took my Chanel bag out on a date; after all the packing, unpacking and moving I finally found the time to sit down with "Styleby" magazine and enjoy the weekend; I tried on an old hat, which will get an outing again soon; I received a little orange box (more about it soon); and I found love in a coffee cup ...

What I'd like to add to my wardrobe

After presenting my favourite products for autumn on the Stylenotes blog, I am sharing some more new season favourites with you on Journelles today. Thank you for asking me to participate in your blogs, Lisa und Jessie! Some of the items I would love to add to my wardrobe include Givenchy's Lucrezia (especially this version!) or Saint Laurent's duffle bag, the same's silver stud bracelet (isn't it brilliant?), the amazing "Nicola" motor leather trousers by J Brand, and these Toga buckle boots.
Here are some more items that are currently on my wishlist.

Style Icon: Barbara Martelo

Barbara Martelo perfectly embodies my current love for classics. It's a bit Emmanuelle Alt meets Rock'n'Roll.

Inspiration: the bathroom

I've already shared inspiration for the kitchen and general interior design ideas, so why not focus on the bathroom now? How about: flowers, vanity vignettes, candles and old wood (old wood is always good)?

Still the one pool where I'd happily drown

It seems my blog is morphing into another digital mood board ... But, oh well, there'll be different times. So here's my mood board for these first crisp cold autumn days. Stay in bed if you can and drink good coffee.

Early October on Instagram

Here are some things I love love love at the moment: fresh figs and plums (I am always looking forward to fig season), my Acne Donna boots (that I'm practically wearing every day), nail polish in dark violet and green (Chanel and Essie), and my new (incredibly practical, extremely warm and crazily beautiful) Caban jacket from a sailor shop (it's a men's jacket – which means it's a coat for me. I can't wait to wear it and I'll show you more photos soon).

Back to basics

What I'm into (again) at the moment: very basic, unspectacular outfits - in a good way.

For the twill of it

A great colour for autumn: Essie's limited edition "For the twill of it" – a shimmering purple and green. More of my favourite beauty products here.

Hello October!

A couple of days ago I shared my favourites for autumn on Brigitte's blog "stylenotes" (in German) – some of which you can see on the above photos. Tartan scarves and dark nail polish, for instance. I am also loving my Acne Donna boots very much. They have already become my favourite every day shoe, which means, my Pistol boots are finally getting a break. What I am wearing with them: skinny jeans by Acne, leather jacket and checked shirt from Zara, an old scarf from a tiny shop in London, cashmere sweater and COS cashmere beanie, and - as usually - my PS1.
