Christmas gift guide

If you have started to think about what to get friends and family for Christmas, here are some ideas for girlfriends, sisters, and mothers. From top to bottom: dark chocolate selection (it seems like a boring gift, but I disagree. Here's a test: Do you like chocolate? Yes? And when was the last time you have treated yourself to a luxurious chocolate selection? Never? ... So ...), lightning bolt ear studs by Sydney Evan, pistol necklace by Ivy & Liv, neon pink notebook by Leuchtturm (who doesn't like a little pink/neon in their lives?), holographic iPad case by Marc by Marc Jacobs, glitter socks by Topshop (socks need some glamour, too!), sunglasses by Le Specs, luggage tag by Smythson (makes travelling no matter where so much better), "Gypsy Water" body wash by Byredo, and glitter nail polish by & other stories.

Million Dollar Christmas Wishlist

It has a long tradition that I make unattainable wishlists for Christmas on a regular basis. Here's what I'd like to get myself at the moment: Miu Miu glitter sunglasses, Catbird moon & star necklace, MSGM pullover with patches, Givenchy Antigona bag, Church's studded brogues, "Fleur d'Oranger" by Le Labo, collected poems by Rilke, crystal table lamp by Lee Broom, and Wes Anderson's "The Grand Budapest Hotel".

October wishlist

With this post I confirm what I said about the renaissance of my teenage wardrobe. Yes, the plaid skirt, too, is back. However, today I'd like to wear it as a longer, more feminine, less school girl skirt. And definitely I need a pair of heavy, boyish loafers to go with it. From top to bottom: sunglasses by Miu Miu, opal ring by wwake (I am obsessed with opals! Aren't they the most beautiful stones on this planet?!), jumper by Tibi, plaid skirt by Steffen Schraut, bag by Saint Laurent, and shiny tassle loafers by Mellow Yellow

By the way: I have added a lot of new things to MY STORE – Lala Berlin, Zara, Le Specs, Topshop, French Connection, Pilgrim ... Go check it out!

September wishlist

It's a bit paradoxical that September will be my holiday month (sunshine, beaches and Italian food are near!), so while I will finally get to wear all those hot-weather-holiday-pieces (hello, kaftan and Greek sandals!), all I am wishing for at the moment is knitwear and leather trousers. But I guess I will get in the mood for summer (dressing) again once I have landed on sunny shores.
For now here's my September wishlist: black deep V-neck, skinny diamond rings by Monica Vinader, grey cardigan by Topshop, skinny leather trousers by Givenchy, small "Antigona" bag by Givenchy, black Chelsea boots by & other stories. (Note: you have to dye your hair platinum blonde to make this look work. ;) )
Here's another new season wishlist.

New season wishlist

I'll admit it, I've started the new season shopping (a delicious faux-fur coat, if you must know). And since the autumn collections are arriving in stores anyway (no matter how beautiful the summer weather), I thought I might as well share my fashion wishlist for the new season with you. From top to bottom: wool cape by Burberry, knot cuff by Sophie by Sophie, sweater by Stella McCartney (try to tie-dye that one at home), faux-fur coat by Shrimps (I love all of the Shrimps coats!), boyfriend jeans with rhinestones by Zara, "Sac de jour" by Saint Laurent (still drooling over this one), and booties by Isabel Marant. I could add a classic "Scandinavian style" knitted sweater, but I am still deciding on the exact design, which I will then ask my mother to knit for me. ;)

Summer wishlist

Here's another wishlist that centres on summer dressing (matching my latest moodboards). What I'd love to wear (and use): skateboard by Isabel Marant, "Boule" necklace by Saskia Diez, Kaftan dress by MesDemoiselles, "Coccobello" perfume by Heeley, friendship bracelets by Lucy Folk, and leather espadrilles by Mint&Rose.

Holiday in the city

I cannot believe I still haven't booked a summer holiday (I really need to make that happen soon!). With no expectations to be strolling along sunny beaches soon, I try to bring that holiday feeling into my workaday life by wearing typical beach accessories (like my beloved Espadrilles, for instance). Here's an outfit I would love to wear now: tunic dress by Etoile Isabel Marant, white denim by Rag & Bone, silver Greek sandals, fringed bag by Proenza Schouler, sunglasses by Le Specs, fringed rope necklace by Ann Demeulemeester, silver plate necklace by Vanrycke, perfumed oil "Gypsy Water" by Byredo (one of my favourite scents).

In between look

Not warm enough yet (!) to go outside without a jacket, but don't want to wear my winter coats anymore. Here's another outfit idea for this in-between-weather. Sunglasses by The Row, sweatshirt by Rag & Bone, bomber jacket by Acne, leather leggings by Muuba, palm tree clutch by Kenzo (to make your days a bit more tropical), sneakers by Saint Laurent, necklace by Dannijo, and coconut water, which you need to carry around because it matches your clutch.

Black-and-white-spring (on a budget)

I could also call this "my must haves for spring" part II, but this time, nothing costs more than 200 Euros - apart from the Paige denim gilet, but I'm sure you can find a budget-version of it. Some of it, like the Le Specs sunglasses and the Topshop leather espadrilles, are even real bargains. So here are the other items: Sandro scarf, Vanrycke necklace, Opening Ceremony leather backpack, Adidas T-Shirt, Zara jeans, and eyeliner by Alexa Chung for Eyeko.
Do I need to add more colour to my outfits?

Vestiaire Collective – my selection

I am a huge fan of vintage hunting – it's so exciting when you never know what treasures you might find! One of my favourite digital platforms for vintage and second hand luxury fashion is Vestiaire Collective. It has more than 1.5 Million users worldwide, so it has grown to a really large fashion community. You can find sold-out it-pieces by pretty much every label you love – and sometimes for real bargain prices. Of course you can also use the platform to sell. All items are sold directly from one person to another, but Vestiaire Collective checks all items for their quality and authenticity before they are sold. I went on a little digital stroll around the platform and put together a selection of my favourite pieces that are currently available at Vestiaire Collective. Here you go: Acne sunglasses, T-Shirt by Isabel Marant, destroyed jeans by Sandro, pumps by Isabel Marant, denim shirt by Isabel Marant, bracelet by Hermès, Bandana clutch by Chanel, bag by Proenza Schouler, leather trousers by Maje, and trainers by Saint Laurent. Happy shopping!

My must-haves for spring 2014

One of my favourite collections for this spring was Marc Jacob's final ready-to-wear collection for Louis Vuitton. I really like the loose-fit jeans paired with the transparent, partly embellished black shirts. These two items are definitely on the top of my wishlist for spring. What you also need to update your wardrobe to s/s 14: pointed flats like these by McQ Alexander McQueen, a beautiful tull bra – La Perla makes the best – that peeks out under transparent shirts, obviously you also need said shirts like this Givenchy T-Shirt – which brings you two trends in one: it combines the current sporty trend with the sheer trend – or this romantic one by Isabel Marant, a leather backpack – this one is by Elizabeth and James – white sunglasses like these by Acne, and sculptural jewellery like these rings by Maria Black. About the jeans: I think Acne's Pop Betty are perfect.

A wishlist

I have already made myself the biggest Christmas present (a very early one), so all these others ideas are hypothetical. But of course, a girl is never lacking wishes, right? Here are some of mine: coat by the Kooples (from this winter), "Vivienne" bag by Louis Vuitton (I may dream, no?) diamond necklace by Catbird (this is something I have been dreaming of for months – I hope the right man reads this! Wink Wink), notebook by Smythson, and facial spray by Caudalie (this one is a limited edition).

Autumn/winter wardrobe

For me, especially in autumn and winter it's important to invest in high quality pieces. Maybe it's because they have to stand all the rain and snow and really need to keep me warm and help me get over the terrible weather. This year I would love to wear a classic pea coat, preferably this one by Isabel Marant. I'd pair it with my J Brand leather skinnies and a cashmere sweater, like this classic one by Equipment or the leo version by By Malene Birger. Of course you also need a warm beanie, the above is by Acne, and good boots. Acne's Donna are my new Pistol boots (I am wearing them right now). This Givenchy bag would add a splash of colour. I'd like to wear my nails black and wear jewellery by Catbird.

Autumn dressing - part 2

I have already shared some ideas for colder days but there's something else that has been on my mind lately: the overknee boot. I own two pairs (both in suede) but now I am thinking about very tight leather and high heels. Paired with a classic look and a tailored men's coat. I'd love to wear this look! Above: boots by Jimmy Choo, Joseph coat (budget-version here), cashmere pullover by Equipment (or here), hat by Maison Michel, skinny jeans by J Brand, diamond bracelet and Saint Laurent bag.

Some wishes for colder days

Of course with the current heatwave it is much too early to think about an autumn wardrobe update – however, with the new collections arriving in the stores I cannot avoid a side glance at what is to come. And I think there are some new staples my wardrobe is in need of: a pair of leather-denim-mixed jeans (I have been eyeing R13's Chaps for a while), a cool check shirt that is not stolen from my boyfriend (I love this one with leather elements by Iro), a high-quality basic shirt (T by Alexander Wang would be good), bordeaux-coloured high-heeled ankle boots (sadly I missed Isabel Marant's Cleane leo boots! ... but Saint Laurent makes a nice alternative option), a classic, grown-up bag (this bowling bag comes from Saint Laurent, too) - and you can also use a new pair of sunglasses to refresh your look.

Going tropical

I know, I know, it's only April. I cannot even wear my spring outfits yet because it's still too cold ... But maybe that's because I am already thinking about summer. As I said, I got myself a Paisley shirt from the Kooples, but any kind of print does it for summer, if you ask me. I love this snake-print shirt by Equipment – it would look good with denim cut-offs like these Ksubi ones and it's a perfect match with this clutch by Mary Katrantzou, these Espadrilles by Tory Burch and the Nina Ricci sunglasses. I also really like these holographic bracelets - they're Marc Jacobs and Eddie Borgo.

Navy & Red

Blue and red is a lovely combination, I think. Isabel Marant's navy blue star-embroidered trousers are the perfect start. Then you could add her "Noah" sweatshirt, red pumps (they have to be pointed now), Miu Miu's two-tone bag (it also comes in pink - so sweet!), Illesteva sunglasses (I just love this shape!) and of course a studded Valentino bracelet is never wrong.

Looking for ...

... a bleached oversized denim vest. It's the one thing I really want for this spring. I couldn't find one last year and now I am searching again ... And I refuse to believe that I can only get it from Proenza Schouler (available here or here, for instance). I've seen one from Levi's (here) and Cheap Monday (here) but they're not quite right. If you can help, please let me know where I can find one.

Fashion essentials

There are some items I wear so often that I can call them part of my "daily uniform": my Balenciaga leather jacket, Acne Pistol boots, Breton shirts by Petit Bateau, black skinny jeans, my PS1 by Proenza Schoulder, the Rayban "Clubmaster" (if it's sunny), "Blanche" by Byredo, and at least one silver skull bracelet (this one is by Vanities).
