Une pensée de Paris

Several years ago I spent three lovely days in Paris with my Mom. We did a lot of classic touristy girl-stuff (Versailles, La Tour Eiffel by night, Macarons, Crêpes, a visit to Chanel ...) and we had the best weather you could imagine in spring (above are some photos from that trip). Now I am finally going again, just for pleasure, next weekend. I am so excited - and I can promise you a lot of photos when I return.

Looking for ...

... a bleached oversized denim vest. It's the one thing I really want for this spring. I couldn't find one last year and now I am searching again ... And I refuse to believe that I can only get it from Proenza Schouler (available here or here, for instance). I've seen one from Levi's (here) and Cheap Monday (here) but they're not quite right. If you can help, please let me know where I can find one.

Instagram in March

Here are some Instagram pictures I took during this first week of March. I took out my new Nike leo sneakers, I had a creative weekend trying screen printing and I enjoyed the coming of spring.

The classic SC LV bag

Sofia Coppola's cobalt blue bag for Louis Vuitton (which was launched in March 2009) is still on the top of my wish list. I think the "SC bag" is just perfect – the colour, the size, the classic look, ... And if you don't believe me, let Garance Doré convince you. Four years ago she gave "10 reasons" to love this bag. It is only the price which has kept me from buying the bag all those years. ... So for everyone who is feeling the same way: Clare Vivier makes a duffle bag, which looks slightly similar and which might be an alternative. Furthermore, there is a new Givenchy bag, which looks a bit similar and is still (even though it is high priced) less expensive than the LV bag.

Fashion essentials

There are some items I wear so often that I can call them part of my "daily uniform": my Balenciaga leather jacket, Acne Pistol boots, Breton shirts by Petit Bateau, black skinny jeans, my PS1 by Proenza Schoulder, the Rayban "Clubmaster" (if it's sunny), "Blanche" by Byredo, and at least one silver skull bracelet (this one is by Vanities).

The rainbow scarf

Today I'm wearing a lot of colour by my standards. The (incredibly huge) scarf is by Lala Berlin (I got it in this shop), the coat is by Mango, the sneakers are Isabel Marant, and the rainbow sweater and leather foldover bag are made by my very talented mom.

... Paris ...

Silver stacks

When I saw the "organic band" by Natalie Marie Jewellery I knew it would look perfect with my "minimal rings" by Linda Nilsson and my "alphabet rings" from Catbird which I wear every day. I love stacking them so I can wear nine or ten rings at a time.

Céline vs. Valentino

Okay, this is quite hypothetical (with regard to my savings), but I am looking for a classic small bag. A timeless piece that I can wear day and evening. And since I won't be getting a mini Chanel any time soon I am thinking about either Céline or Valentino. I really like Céline's "box bag" and the mini Valentino bag which you can currently find at Mytheresa. But which one is nicer? And which colour would be best? Maybe not black for a change.

Newest addition to my collection of arm candy: the tiny skull bracelet by Iwona Ludyga. I love it - especially because you can barely see it.

Space cat

I couldn't believe my luck this week. I actually won the limited "Space Cat sweater" by LalaBerlin! Thank you! I am wearing it with my Balenciaga leather jacket, my LalaBerlin scarf (which you can find in the sale at the moment!), urban code leather skirt, and Mulberry bag.
