Postcards from Sardinia

I've already shared some photos from my holiday on Sardinia, but there are some more places I need to tell you about. Firstly, the "Agriturismo" B&B "Cà La Somara" (pictures 2, 3, 5, 8 and 12) which is perfect for anyone who has a soft spot for the romantic countryside (donkeys, cats, a vegetable garden, a quiet swimming pool, very friendly hosts, ...) - we had a great time! From there it's not far to the beautiful beaches along the northeastern coast. We especially liked the secluded beautiful bays around Capriccioli (pictures 7 and 13). If you stay in the area make sure to have dinner at La Vecchia Costa (which was recommend to us as an insider's tip among the locals), we actually went there two times because we liked the food so much.
What I'm wearing in the above photos: kaftan by Seafolly, sandals by Emu, sunglasses by Illesteva, clutch bag by HandmadeSSW, and sun straw hat by & other stories.
More about my travels.

Girls who are boys (shoewise)

This season we can steal our footwear from the boys. I feel most happy and confident in my black ankle boots anyway (in the many different types that I own - Acne Donna, Chloé Susanna, Acne Pistol, Topshop Arson, ... I'm looking at you!) ... but I also believe that everybody should own a pair of classic gentleman's brogues. And nobody can mind some lace-up combat boots (especially not if you like grunge or punk looks - or need a pair of fashionable water-proof boots for autumn). These are my current favourites (from top to bottom): "Type 22" boots by Adieu, "Fargo" brogues by Topshop, "Vivia" Boots by Michael Kors, classic brogues by Church's, formal brogues by Valentino, and Dr. Martens

Holiday outfit in black and white

I am back from my holiday on Sardinia. Such a beautiful island! I will tell you more about it - and share some travel tips - soon. Two things I need to share with you right away: the beautiful Petra Segreta resort, which is located in the mountains overlooking Sardinia's paradisiacal coast Costa Smeralda. We loved it there! Not just the view but the pool, the spa, the food (the resort has its own gourmet restaurant) and our private terrace. I felt so relaxed after only two days there - heavenly!
Number two is my new favourite holiday dress by Roughrugs. It's so simple and I guess that's what makes it perfect for a holiday in hot southern realms. I wore it with my Ibiza straw bag, Espadrilles by Even & Odd, "Leonard" sunglasses by Illesteva, Bandana pouch by HandmadeSSW, and my summer bracelets (by anni lu, vonhey, Monica Vinader and Bohomagpie).

Ciao, Bella!

Ah, bella Roma, how lovely it was to see you! Such a sweet taste of summer! A long weekend of la dolce vita! Okay, okay,  I'll stop already. But I need to share some of the amazing things you need to enjoy (watch out, pun!) when in Rome: have ice cream at Giolitti - it's the best! Every flavour is amazing (I tried coconut, watermelon, pistachio, caramel and dark chocolate and every one was to die for). Have espresso in a coffee bar for 90 Cent a cup. Walk everywhere (no bus, metro or subway necessary). Come Aperitivo hour make sure you find yourself on a rooftop (with a bar). Appreciate the architecture and art.
By the way, we stayed in this Guesthouse (which we can highly recommend).
