I never posted many photos from my trip to California - it was almost two years ago (time flies when you're having fun). I am totally ready to go back! I would love to do another road trip (I miss L.A. and Palm Springs the most) but this time I'd plan enough time to visit the national parks.

THE boots: Chloé Susanna
Where to start? The silver studded Chloé "Susanna" boots had been the object of my dreams for I don't know how many years. They just looked too good on Erin Wasson & Co. and I think they're the ultimate ankle boots. Unfortunately, their price is the ultimate "out-of-your-mind"-price. Even I (and I think I sometimes tend to be out of my mind when it comes to shopping) would never spend that much money on shoes. Luckily, there's ebay and it just so happened that I came across the Chloé "Susanna" boots - in my size! - on ebay one day last month. I couldn't believe it. Now guess what happened? ... Until the snow melts I'll just put them on a pedestal and admire them.

Inspiration: Editorials
Big big big love for the new editorial in Eurowoman February 2014 with photos by Jonas Bie and styling by Gertrud Maria Bonnelykke. The model is Katharina Damm. It's incredibly beautiful and I love every detail! See all photos here. It kind of reminds me of the amazing editorial Patrick Demarchelier did with Daria Werbowy for VOGUE UK September 2013 (all photos here). This might have been the inspiration, right? Anyway, I'm totally in love!

Fragrance love: Verveine
Let's talk about home fragrances. Seriously, why only focus on your body – doesn't your home equally deserve to smell nice? My obsession with room perfumes and scented candles began when I walked into a little boutique in Aix-en-Provence and it smelled so incredibly nice that I wanted to stay in there for hours. I found out that the scent was a fig perfume. Since then I have been using fig room perfume, fig scented candles, soap, liquid soap ... (I highly recommend the one by Savon de Marseille) and I never got tired of it. But currently I'm in the mood for something a little fresher. Enter Verveine. I love its slightly herbal, refreshing scent! My new favourites: Marseille soap from the market, the Diptyque Verveine candle, bath products by Acqua di Stresa and - an oldy but goldy – the Nesti Dante "Romantica" liquid soap. Give it a try!

I still remember
As I have said before I really have a thing for neon art. And, as Korean artist Jung Lee demonstrates, it looks especially interesting when placed in opposed surroundings. These photos remind me a little bit of Rune Guneriussen's art (which I also love). What do you think?

A Sunday Walk
Yesterday the weather was nice and my sister was visiting. So we went for a walk (quite an extensive one), had a little Fika, as they say in Sweden (which is where my sister currently lives), admired Mexican-inspired china, and took some photos. I was wearing my new pink Angora sweater (handmade by my mum!), a COS beanie, coat by Kaviar Gauche, jeans and shoes by Topshop, and my Chanel Boy.

Wanted
You know what I love? Fantasy wishlists. This year, I'll try to save up (again) for the bag of my dreams – Louis Vuitton's "Sofia Coppola" bag in cobalt blue –, but I also wouldn't mind the following: a loose-fitting pair of jeans (since I'm only wearing skinny jeans this would be something entirely new in my wardrobe), this leather belt by The Kooples, "Poppy Pumps" by Isabel Marant, "Juste un clou" bracelet by Cartier (this is a fantasy wishlist, after all!), a French phrase book, and – something to add to my beauty cabinet – a hair brush by Mason Pearson, the Estée Lauder "Advanced Night Repair" serum, and "The Eye Balm intense" by La Mer.

Making plans
It's usually on a grey, bleak January day like today that the urge to pack my things and travel really hits me. I hope that my next destination can either be Bali or Tulum. (I've already picked the places to stay) ...

Jewellery love: Moon & Stars
I don't know when it started, but I've definitely developed an obsession with jewellery in the shape of stars and moons. Above are some of my favourites. Catbird is an expert when it comes to beautiful moony and starry jewels (and creative naming) – I love the "You are my moon and star" necklace, the "tiny dancer moon & star studs" (I received the rosé gold version for my birthday last year), and the "dark side of the moon earrings" (there's also a matching ring). But Lena Wald also offers a great necklace and earrings. And so does Zoe & Morgan. The absolute luxury comes from Chanel, of course. Their "Comète" series is divine.

Some new favourites
Just before and over the holidays some new items have made it into my possession, which quickly became new favourites and which I'd like to share with you. In terms of clothing there's Sandro's "Succès" turtleneck sweater (which I liked so much when I tried it on in store that I couldn't wait until the sale to get it), and the zipper mini skirt I found in Zara's online store that I'm practically wearing every day since I received it. On the accessory side there's my new iPhone charger (it's pink - and three metres long! Very practical and very pretty). Also my Chanel creme blush in the shade "Affinité" (since this is the first creme blush I own, it's a completely new make up experience for me) and a new hand balm by Aesop that I can highly recommend and that I now use every night. I've also included some gifts in this list: my sister gave me a beautiful make up bag by Marimekko and a little drawing of a fox by a Swedish artist, which I'll have framed to put it up in my bedroom. And last but not least two new favourite pieces my boyfriend picked for me: the Smythson notebook I'd had on my wishlist – and the necklace that definitely scored the title "biggest surprise for Christmas".

A short trip to Zurich
I hope you have had happy holidays and you kicked off 2014 with a blast. I enjoyed the cosy time with my family, friends and boyfriend. For New Year's Eve him and I went to Zurich to visit friends. It's such a nice city - especially at this time of the year when you can really savour the Swiss coffee houses. I had Bircher Müsli for breakfast two times (so good! We went to Sprüngli and Schober), I spent a lot of time admiring beautiful pastries, discovered an Iro store (the shirt I'd had on my wish list was on sale! (Yes!) But my size was sold out (No!) ...), we walked around the old quarters of the city for hours, and we even climbed a mountain. Pretty good start into the new year, I think.
