The Marant dress

How cool is this Isabel Marant dress? I wore it for the first time yesterday and I'm already in love! It was an ebay find and after I had to wait several weeks for it to reach me, it is now finally mine. On the above photos I'm wearing it with my Acne Pistol boots, Mulberry bag and Zara jacket (old).

Same same ... Instagramalytics

As you may know I am obsessed with Instagram - and I'm equally obsessed with Instaport, which allows me to save images that I liked on my computer. ... When looking at them again I realised that I can categorise these images into seven groups: cute cats, bags (mainly but not exclusively Chanel), outfits, cakes/ice cream/ desserts, colourful skies, palm trees and jewellery. :) And with regard to that, here are some of my favourite Instagrammers: @lifeofboheme, @tashsefton, @leblogdebetty, @sincerelyjules, @lucywilliams02, @camtyox, @sydneyrwilliams, @honey_achi, @galagonzalez, and @catbirdnyc. I am also a BIG fan of @umetaturou (who actually deserves his own category).

More plaid

 

I always find it funny when an absolute fashion classic is proclaimed a current trend. (Do Breton stripes, tartan, denim or leather ever get out of fashion?) Anyway, tartan, plaid or check, whatever you prefer to call it, is obviously a big trend this autumn/winter. I love it, because it goes with everything and is a layering-staple. I also like combining different tartan checks (as seen on Daria in British VOGUE). I've already added some new pieces to my wardrobe. Metal tips

 

Seriously, how brilliant is this idea by Gianvito Rossi? Is it just me or do you also get stuck with your heels or scratch the tips every time you wear new shoes outside (especially when it's suede)? The solution – as simple as it is ingenious – are metal tips and heels. I'd love to buy both the ankle boots and the pumps right away.

Lately on Instagram ...

Here's what's been going on: I went to outdoor-music-festivals and danced in the wilderness, I indulged in my plaid-obsession for pre-autumn, I got a madly useful "Neverfull" bag at Zara, I needed a lot of quick coffee-breaks, and I found - to my own big suprise - Ersatz-shoes for the long sold-out Isabel Marant "Cleane" boots.

Wild trainers

I was in the mood for sneakers today: Black and white Nike "Blazers" worn with my new H&M Trend jacket (I love the structure and the biker jacket style), H&M Trend chiffon top, Acne jeans and my usual everyday bag by Proenza Schouler.

Autumn dressing - part 2

I have already shared some ideas for colder days but there's something else that has been on my mind lately: the overknee boot. I own two pairs (both in suede) but now I am thinking about very tight leather and high heels. Paired with a classic look and a tailored men's coat. I'd love to wear this look! Paisley dress

I found a dress at Zara that seemed perfect for the next beach holiday. I havn't planned one yet but until then I'll just wear the dress in the city. ;) It's backless and has a paisley print - two things I absolutely love. Last night I wore it with my Isabel Marant shopper, which always makes me feel like I'm going to the beach. So it's a good companion for the dress, I think. ... Sorry, once again it is only a poor phone snapshot ...

Isn't it strange how in the midst of summer you feel a sudden, inexplicable urge to layer your clothes? Come autumn I will wear plaid and checked shirts like a maniac and layer them with sweaters, printed shirts and vests. ... But now, back to the iced coffee, sandals sun-tan oil!
