Flyknit One

I can't remember the last time I was smitten with the beauty of running shoes. Most times they are practical and look like it. But I absolutely love the new "Flyknit One" by Nike – the colour mixes are amazing! I still have a few months to decide which one to get, as they will be in stores in February 2013.

The living room

List of wishes

Is it too early to think of Christmas wishes? ... I figure since I am making wishlists all the time, I can get away with it. ;) Above: Filippa Cashmere Sweater from Acne, Lilith necklace from Dannijo, Blanche from Byredo (available at Anita Hass, for instance), "Amandine" sneakers from Sandro, earrings "Dark side of the moon" and "Shoot the Moon" from Catbird, vintage mini Chanel flap (sometimes available at Malleries) and – the best – a Persian cat.

Holographic nails

The moment I saw this nail polish I knew I had to get it. Ziggy Stardust nails! I've always loved holographic material. This "psychedelic holographic nail polish" comes from the Danish brand FNUG. (You can also order it here or here.) They recommend a special base coat to make the holographic effect stronger. I love it!

Distressed denim

I admit it, it's neither particularly practical for winter (at least not if you live in Hamburg) nor does it make very much sense to spend a lot of money on something that is already damaged when you buy it – but still I can't help thinking how great distressed denim would look with big, chunky knitwear. My favourites come from Rag & Bone and Paige (both pictured above).

See you soon, PS1

Yesterday I had to send my PS1 back to Opening Ceremony in Los Angeles because, having had it for less than six months, the hooks on the shoulder strap kept breaking and they have to be repaired. When I checked the shipping status today, it said that the German mail had sent the bag to Italy. ... Now I'm having doubts about whether this was a good idea ... I can only hope that I'll have my favourite bag soon. Keep your fingers crossed for me!

Nail Fetish

Some of the nail polish that I like this autumn: glitter by Nyx, "Lapiz of Luxury" by Essie, silver nail polish by Malu Wilz, holographic silver/blue by Anny, "HAM" by Uslu Airlines and holographic greens/blues by essence.

Cupcakes and Co.

Since I am (still) not on Instagram I have to share some of my snapshots with you here. As you can see, I wouldn't add anything unusual to Instagram anyway – just the usual flowers, cupcakes and so on. ... In the first two photos you can see a new favourite nail polish: "HAM" by Uslu Airlines.

Take note(s)

Can taking notes get any classier than with these Smythson books? I'd love to keep the one saying "Work hard play hard" or "Make it happen" in my handbag and take it to work appointments. The neon pens are equally stylish and come from Caran d'Ache in Switzerland.

Rethinking interior

There's no doubt, it's what's inside that counts – especially when it's getting too cold to spend much time outdoors. So I'm thinking about re-decorating my living room, starting the coming weekend. Above are some images that I'll use as inspiration. Sources here.
