German Press Days A/W 2012 – Part 2

More from the autumn/winter collections 2012! German Press Days A/W 2012 – Part 1

Yesterday I visited the German Press Days in Berlin to have a look at the collections for autumn/winter 2012. As always it was a lot of fun, but also quite exhausting to run from one agency to another. I saw many many amazing designs and can't wait for them to hit the stores in summer (Ah, I want them now!). Above you can see my favourites. From top to bottom: 1) knitted headwear by Kiss, 2) and 3) new pieces by Thu Thu, 4) and 5) Rika, 6), 7) and 8) Lala Berlin (I loved the chunky knitwear and the printed jeans), 9) and 10) the Lillet Bar at K-MB (Lillet's my favourite drink at the moment. Try it with tonic water, mint, cucumber and a strawberry), 11) another printed pair of jeans, this one is by Vans, and 12) a transparent dress which would look great paired with skinny jeans.

Black leather leggins

I am still looking for black leather leggins like these ones seen at Coachella (via Vogue). I know, now's not the perfect season for them, but please let me know if you see some.

Red, Blue and Green

What I wore yesterday: my new utility jacket from Zara, worn with my ankle skinny jeans from Current/Elliott, a denim shirt from Topshop, my new H&M neon necklace, Acne pistol boots and Mulberry bag. (Just so you know: The photo's perspective is weird. I do not actually have such a big head.)

Denim Shorts

Seeing a photo of Kate Bosworth at Coachella Festival (via Knightcat) made me so excited for Festival season. I still have to wait a few months for the summer festivals but I think I can already buy the denim shorts I am going to wear all summer. Above clockwise: H&M, Current/Elliott leo in grey, Marc by Marc Jacobs, H&M and again in a leather-trimmed style, Current/Elliott leo in red, and Current/Elliott in blue, and finally rosé high-waisted shorts by Etoile Isabel Marant.

Holiday packing ideas

One more month and I will be in California! Can't wait. I am already thinking about what to pack. Some denim shorts and classic T-Shirts definitely. On the 26th of April the new "Fashion against Aids" collection by H&M will be available and I have set my eyes on these shorts (don't they look like a bargain-version of Thu Thu?). The necklace is by H&M as well. The bag is Marc by Marc Jacobs, the muscle shirt is T by Alexander Wang, the ring is Aurélie Bidermann, and the picture in the background is by Yago Hortal.

Mini Star necklace

New in: "Mini Star necklace" by Cooee Design in Sweden. It was designed by Anine Bing and is available online here. I love that you can barely see it but it's still so detailed and a lovely minimalist statement piece.

Style sisters

I am loving these looks by Laura Bailey (from her "Today I'm wearing" column) and Poppy Delevigne (by Vanessa Jackman). They look so cool and pretty in their long skirts. Sadly, I'm afraid I am too small to pull off this style.

Fluo in your bag

Another nice way to make your outfit more colourful: bright pouches or make-up-bags. My favourites are by Comme des Garcons (available at Dover Street Market), Marc by Marc Jacobs (available at Net-a-Porter), and Acne (also available at NAP)

How to spend it?

Not that there was anything to spend – this is hypothetical play of thought. Let's pretend there was plenty of "it". What would you spend it on: 1) a high class statement necklace that makes even your most simple outfit look amazing (this one is "Lillith" by Dannijo), 2) a dashingly cool It-Everyday-Bag that goes with anything (my choice: PS1 by Proenza Schouler), or 3) the same qualities in the shape of ankle boots with heels that are neither too high nor too low (above: Acne "Star" boots).
