Take it easy
...I know this single came out in January, which means that it's quite old in the online world - but anyway, I wanted to post it because it's fantastic.

Illustration Icon: Liselotte Watkins
I admire Liselotte Watkin's work so much! I love the illustrations she's done for Miu Miu , H&M, and all the magazine illustrations, but what I especially enjoy are her sketches, drafts and inspirations (she also takes a-ma-zing photos!) that she shares in her blog. I always find inspiration when I come there.
All of the above pictures belong to Liselotte Watkins.

Rauch & Hiroshige
I went to see the Neo Rauch exhibition in Munich last weekend. There was one painting I particularly liked because it reminded me of one of my favourite Japanese woodcuts by Hiroshige. Isn't there a striking parallel in terms of composition?

he just smoked my eyelid and punched my cigarette
I want to marry the Robert Allen Zimmerman of 1965. Currently I can't stop listening to "Stuck inside of Mobile with the Memphis Blues again" (his voice in that song is so cool!).
Most of the above pictures found here.

Collaboration: Kaviar Gauche & Görtz
Berlin insider label meets mass market: The two designers from Kaviar Gauche have teamed up with the highstreet brand Görtz for an exclusive shoe collection (which will hit stores in June). I have fallen in love with the studded pumps and the tasselled ankle boots which you can see in the lookbook photos above. They make nice everyday-but-still-glamourous-shoes. For more pictures see I love Ponys.

"Adding colour" ...
... is the slogan of Triwa, a Swedish brand who makes flashy plastic watches which do exactly that: adding a splash of colour to your outfit. They're comparably light and kind of feel like they're made of Lego. I wore my blue one for the first time today and it actually brightened my mood whenever I looked at it. If this made you hungry for more colourful plastic watches, check out Refinery 29!

Berlin Press Days A/W 2010
I got the chance to stop by at the Press Days in Berlin to look at some designers' collections for autumn/winter 2010. I particularly liked some pieces by LalaBerlin, Kaviar Gauche, and Rika (the fact that they were presented in a suite at the Ritz might have intensified my enthusiasm - but only a little bit). ;) Some of the Rika campaign shots are really pretty as well.

older drawings: models
I found these pictures when I went through my portfolio. They're quite old and I actually don't like them anymore (looking at them now I find them plain boring), but it's nice to see I'm making some kind of progress - well, at least I hope I do. :)

Cherry Blossoms
I wish I was in Japan for the sakura picnics now. But at least I've got lovely pink cherry blossoms to make me happy.

Print scarves
What I'm looking for at the moment is nothing less than the perfect scarf - one that I can wear every day and that matches my black leather jacket as well as its summer version in blue denim. In the picture: scarves on the left from Lala Berlin , on the right from Bebaroque, Virginia Johnson and Lala Berlin, again. Multicoloured scarf in the background from Alexander McQueen. All via Liberty.

Cute fluffy animals by Tada's Revolution
If you're a fan of My Milk Toof - like I am - I can recommend the Flickr photostream by Tada's Revolution. She's also got a blog. I think my favourite picture is the elephant picnic (look at his tiny mayonnaise!).
