neat attachment

One of the myriad things I collect are brooches. Here are some of my favourites: badge in the left by Starstyling, tiny Moomin brooch from Sweden, Muffin and "J'aime Paris" heart by Lazy Oaf, Bambi brooch by Adelheid, the bird brooch was a gift from a friend, badges in the right by Fräulein Prusselise, and several antique brooches.

I watched "Lagerfeld Confidential" again yesterday – and I just love the scene in the beginning of the film when you see the ocean and the cliffs and hear "Pure" playing in the background. It's such a sweet song (and such a very very bad music video).

Gildo Medina

I cannot believe how versatile the mexican artist Gildo Medina's work is. He does drawings, photography, films, ... and mixes it all together. (As you might have guessed, I like his pencil drawings best). Inspiring!

The day we raided the florist

I just found these old pictures on my computer. We did the shooting years ago for a student magazine. They're admittedly quite excessive and kitschy (we went a bit wild on the flowers, miniature birds and butterflies front) but they capture my mood in spring. ;)

Come in, come in!

I am currently looking for a new flat and, although I have only just begun searching, I am already thinking about the interior design and accessories. Beside the White Rabbit lamp I think I will have to get a piece from Donna Wilson. (Either a plate or a pillow – or both?). The title "Designer of the Year", which she was given in the "British Design Awards 2010", was well deserved!

Little Doodles

Today's the 1st of March and it looks a lot like spring outside. Matching these good news, I wanted to share Kate's comical "Little Doodles" with you (birds, again!). She also does Fashion Illustrations, which look equally good.
